Welcome to my blog. Wow, never thought I would ever write those words. It feels surreal to finally take this step and share my thoughts with the world. I never thought I had anything worth saying to justify having a blog, as I often questioned whether my experiences and reflections were significant enough to resonate with others. However, after living life and reflecting on all that God has brought me through already, I began to see the value in my journey. Each challenge, triumph, and moment of introspection has shaped who I am today, and I believe that sharing these insights could potentially inspire or connect with someone else out there.
As I ponder the road ahead, especially when considering how the next ten years will unfold, I realized I might actually have a few thoughts in the old noggin that should exist outside of my head. Life is unpredictable, and while I cannot foresee every twist and turn, I understand that the lessons I’ve learned can serve as a guiding light not only for myself but also for others who might find themselves navigating similar paths. This blog will be a space where I can freely express my thoughts, document my experiences, and perhaps even explore topics that ignite my passion and curiosity.
In this digital realm, I hope to cultivate a community of like-minded individuals who are eager to share their own stories, insights, and reflections. I envision this blog as a tapestry woven from various threads of life—faith, personal growth, challenges, and the beauty found in everyday moments. It’s an invitation to embark on this journey together, to explore the depths of our thoughts, and to create a dialogue that encourages authenticity and connection.
So, as I embark on this blogging adventure, I invite you to join me. Let’s explore the complexities of life, the joys of discovery, and the profound impact of our shared experiences. I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you and hearing yours in return, as we navigate this incredible journey together, one post at a time.
Before we dive too deep into the various topics we will explore together, let me take a moment to share a little more about myself and the journey that has led me here. First and foremost, I proudly identify as a Daughter of the Living King. This identity is the cornerstone of who I am; it defines my values, my outlook on life, and my interactions with the world around me. If you were to strip away all the other roles and titles that I carry, this fundamental belief would remain as my guiding light and the essence of my being. In addition to this profound identity, I am also a devoted wife to an adoring and supportive husband, who brings joy and stability into my life. Our partnership is built on mutual respect, love, and shared dreams, and I cherish every moment we spend together, navigating the beautiful complexities of life as a team. Furthermore, I am a proud mother to two beautiful twin girls, who fill my days with laughter, wonder, and a sense of purpose that is unparalleled. Their boundless energy and curiosity inspire me to be the best version of myself, and I am constantly amazed by the unique personalities they are developing. I am currently 23 years old and reside in the charming state of Mississippi, where the warm southern hospitality and rich cultural heritage create a nurturing environment for my family. As a stay-at-home mom (SAHM), I dedicate my time to caring for my children and creating a loving home. This role, while incredibly fulfilling, also presents its own set of challenges and rewards, which I look forward to sharing with you throughout this blog. My personal interests lean heavily towards all things cozy and comfortable, as I find solace in warm blankets, soothing teas, and the gentle ambiance of a well-loved home. However, writing this blog pushes me slightly out of my comfort zone, as it requires me to articulate my thoughts and experiences in a way that is both engaging and relatable. Nevertheless, I embrace this challenge with open arms, as I have always had a natural inclination towards creativity. I like to say that I possess the gene that whispers, "how hard could it be?" This mindset has often led me to explore a variety of creative outlets, each of which has contributed to my growth and self-expression. Some of my favorite creative pursuits include sewing, where I find joy in transforming fabric into functional and beautiful items; needlepoint, which allows me to create intricate designs with patience and precision; canning, a rewarding process that connects me to my roots and the importance of preserving the bounty of nature; crochet, where I find relaxation in the rhythmic motion of the hook and yarn; and bookbinding, a craft that combines my love for literature with hands-on artistry. And of course, writing is at the forefront of my passions, as it is the very reason we are here together. Through this blog, I hope to share my experiences, insights, and creative endeavors with you, inviting you into my world as we embark on this journey together.
Writing’s always been part of my life, though I didn’t always know what to do with it. In middle school, I was that awkward kid who preferred a notebook to small talk. I’d scribble poems, half-finished stories, and whatever thoughts I couldn’t figure out how to say out loud. One of my earliest writing memories? Fifth grade. I wrote a poem for my teacher (bold move), then decided to voluntarily read it out loud in front of the entire class (bolder move). It was sweet and terrifying and probably way too dramatic. The confidence didn’t last, but the need to write never really went away. I stopped sharing my work for a long time like, over a decade long. But I never stopped writing. I filled notebooks and voice memos with everything from prayers to word vomit. It was how I processed the mess, the grief, the good things, and all the little in-betweens. Now, I’m back at it—writing fiction, reflections, and honest words about faith, motherhood, and purpose. Not because I have it all figured out, but because writing helps me work through it. If it connects with someone else along the way, even better.
So, here we are. If you’ve made it this far, I hope you feel a little less alone and maybe even a little more seen. This blog isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about showing up anyway. About writing what’s real, sharing what I’ve learned (and what I’m still figuring out), and making space for stories that matter. Whether you’re here for the faith, the fiction, the mom-life chaos, or just to read along with a fellow human trying to walk this out with purpose—welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
If something you read resonates, don’t be shy—leave a comment, share it with a friend, or subscribe so we can keep walking this road together.
In the next few posts, I’ll be sharing a little more about my current writing projects, some thoughts on motherhood, and maybe a peek into the mess and beauty of everyday life. I hope you’ll stick around.
